Prices and packages
Below are our current Scan and Antenatal prices. Packages can be arranged to suit individual needs, and discount is given when using more than one service. Options are also available for payment by installments for packages. Sorry, but we do not accept debit and credit card payment.
Scan packages
Early Pregnancy Scan – from 7 weeks - £50
A pregnancy can be seen from as early as 7 weeks from your last period.
At this stage the pregnancy is of course small, but the baby's heart beat may be clearly visualised.
Aside from confirming the presence of the heart beat, the number of babies can be counted, the normal orientation within the womb and a measurement to confirm the stage of pregnancy.
Often the baby can be seen making small movements, which are amazing to the mother to be.
If you have had any bleeding or pain or any other symptoms the scan will accurately confirm viability.
The appointment is for 30 minutes and includes black and white prints.
Gender Scan – from 16 weeks - £60
A Gender scan can be performed from 16 weeks and determines the sex of your baby. The Sonographer will confirm the gender of your baby after she has performed a wellbeing assessment.
The appointment is up to 30 minutes and includes Black and white glossy prints.
Reassurance Scan - 12 Weeks to Term - £60
This scan is a 30 minute appointment and allows the parent(s) to be the chance to be reassured that their baby is developing normally. Measurements of the baby are taken to check the dates/growth and a checklist confirming the Wellbeing of the baby completed. Black and white glossy prints included in the price.
Presentation Scan / Reassurance scan from 36 weeks - £60
The position or presentation of the baby can be determined using ultrasound. Occasionally, towards the end of your pregnancy, the position of the baby can be in doubt i.e. Head down or Breech.
This scan will determine the position and the size of the baby. If at any time in your pregnancy you require reassurance then the position, size and wellbeing can be obtained in a reassurance scan.
At both of these scans the volume of fluid around the baby and the placental position will be checked.
The appointment is up to 30 minutes and includes Black and white glossy prints. The images may be restricted due to the position of the baby at the later stages.
4D Bonding Package from 26-32 Weeks - £100
1 hour appointment (to allow for fetal position & processing of products, etc).

Antenatal Prices
Single antenatal appointment 45 min - £35
Your appointment will be in a relaxed atmosphere with refreshments. It will include a full well being check for you and your baby.
Mum: Blood pressure, urine analysis, uterine growth measurements and general well being.
Baby: Fetal heart, growth measurements, presentation. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.
Pre-conception advice and guidance 45 min - £50
Your appointment will be in a relaxed atmosphere with refreshments. It will include a discussion regards to your personal circumstances and well being.
You will be offered a basic health check (Blood pressure and urine analysis).
We will support and advice you to ensure you are at an optimal health for the conception, pregnancy and birth of your baby.
Pregnancy Testing - 30 min appointment testing for positive pregnancy and brief consultaion - £15
We will conduct a urine based pregnancy test, giving you the results immediately.
Included in the appointment will be a brief consultation for a question/answer opportunity.
Membrane sweep with antenatal appointment - £45
The appointment will include a full antenatal check for you and the baby.
Sweeping of membranes is a safe method to reduce the length of term in pregnancy and the incidence of prolonged gestation in a low-risk population. There is no evidence that sweeping the membranes increases the risk of maternal or neonatal adverse outcomes. The procedure has been evidenced that performed within the term (37-41 weeks) stage of pregnancy is safe. However tummy2mummy prefer to perform the sweeps at the earliest 39 weeks as evidence has shown it be more successful at the later stage.
A membrane sweep involves an internal vaginal examination. The midwife will place a finger just inside your cervix and, making a circular sweeping movement, will attempt to separate the membranes from the cervix. This will stimulate the release of hormones that may start contractions. It may be uncomfortable but should not cause actual pain; you may also experience a mucus/bloodstained ‘show’ like a discharge, following this, which is quite normal. Following the examination you will be offered refreshments and the opportunity to discuss the findings.
Postnatal Visits at home - £50
We will visit you in your home following the birth of your baby. We will offer you support and advice. We will perform a general well being check of both you and the baby.
The visit will last as long as we feel is required on the individuals need.
Birth plan discussion to include an antenatal appointment 1 hour - £45
The appointment will include a full antenatal check for you and your baby. Refreshments will be included. You will be offered support in writing and planning your birth plan, we will support and advice you in the choices you make in a non hurried relaxed environment.
You will leave feeling empowered and ready for your birth experience.
Group B Steptococcus (GBS) Screening - £45
Group B Streptococcus (GBS) is a normal bacterium which colonises up to 30% of adults in the UK, without symptoms or side-effects. GBS can cause infection, most commonly in newborn babies before, during or shortly after birth. GBS can more rarely cause infection in adults (typically women during pregnancy or after birth, the elderly and people with serious underlying medical conditions which impair their immune system). Women are not offered routine GBS screening within the NHS.
At the appointment we will perform the procedure using the Enriched Culture Medium (ECM) testing.
When the test is completed we will send off to the laboratory for the test to be completed. You will receive the results within a few days by text message and in the post. go to NHS choices web site for information for GBS and the different tests.
Group B Strep (GBS) Screening with Antenatal
Appointment - £60
Same information as above but to include a full antenatal well being check for you and your baby.
Birth Partner/Doula Services - £550
To employ our birth doula services the fee is £550 and this includes:
- Two ante natal sessions
- One postnatal visit
- 24 hr on call starting 3 weeks before due date until the baby is born
- Guaranteed availability
- Unlimited telephone calls/emails
- Reflection of your birth experience
- The fee is paid as follows £250 on booking (this is non-refundable) and remaining £300 to be paid after the birth. If we have other births booked close to your due date we will offer 'sharedcare' with other experienced birth partners who you will meet during your antenatal period. You will get to know us both before the birth and in offering shared care you are guaranteed of having one of us with you during your labour.
