Early Reassurance

Available from 7 to 12 weeks gestation

An early pregnancy scan can provide reassurance and valuable information during the first trimester of your pregnancy. From as early as 7 weeks, it is often possible to visualise your baby and detect a heartbeat.

During the scan, we will assess your baby's wellbeing, confirm the presence of a heartbeat, determine the number of babies, check the position of the pregnancy within the womb, and take measurements to accurately estimate your stage of pregnancy.

At this stage, many babies can already be seen making small movements, creating a memorable and exciting experience for expectant parents.

If you have experienced bleeding, pain, or any other concerning symptoms, the scan can help assess the viability of the pregnancy and provide reassurance where possible.

Should any concerns be identified, we will refer you directly to your chosen hospital and assist in arranging any necessary follow-up appointments.
